Emotional and Social Intelligence – An Innovative Talent Management Tool

As part of our talent management service Resourcefulpeople is now able to provide the MHS EQ-i assessment in Emotional and Social Intelligence. The five composite scales assessed are: Intrapersonal, Interpersonal, Adaptability, Stress Management and General Mood.

1. Intrapersonal: which assesses the inner self and is derived from five subscales: Self-Regard, Emotional Self-Awareness, Assertiveness, Independence and Self-Actualisation.
2. Interpersonal: which looks at interpersonal skills and functioning and is derived from three subscales: Empathy, Social Responsibility and Interpersonal Relationship
3. Adaptability: which reveals how successfully individuals can deal with environmental demands and problematic situations, and is derived from three subscales: Reality Testing, Flexibility and Problem Solving.
4. Stress Management: which looks at how an individuals deal with stress and their ability to retain control, and it is derived from two subscales: Stress Tolerance and Impulse Control.
5. General Mood: which looks at general positivity and cheerfulness and is derived from two factors: Happiness and Optimism.
